Following the ideas posted here: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=186007 I was able to compile the FrobTADS 1.2.3 Interactive Fiction interpreter (http://www.tads.org/frobtads.htm) for the Kindle Paperwhite.
It needs KTerm to run. (http://www.fabiszewski.net/kindle-terminal/)
(Note for developers: I had to statically link a (minimal) version of libcurl to the executable to get it to run.)
