I happened to notice three things that I'm curious about, and I'd like to know if there's information about these anywhere (I've googled, and came up empty).
1. "Read For Free" Networks? This seemed to be an answer to the former Nook program, but it's not clear if these were ever rolled out? There's support in the current firmware, but I can't seem to find any messaging about it.
2. "TPHv3" - this seems to be an active UDP receive, to the extent of poking a hole in the incoming firewall.
3. "WhisperJoin" and the Bluetooth reception of registration - this seems like it would allow pushing registration information without needing to connect to the mothership or accepting a new firmware push. The only reference to the UUID seems to be from Chromecast ("cf011df7-07ee-40b7-a71d-3f2eb6e0d040" ).
Has anyone here looked into these? Am I missing some pages somewhere?
Thanks..
