On my PW4, I was making some edits to /var/local/appreg.db - Kindle now gets stuck at bootup (boy under tree). No backups, my fault.
Thankfully I can still SSH via wifi to the device.
I do have a backup from another device (PW5).
Will copying over the PW5's appreg.db work?
Worst case would be it applying some different wifi settings, thus locking me out of SSH.
Am I able to do a factory reset to recreate the database?
Just wary to attempt without advice as would certainly lose ability to SSH.
