how to activate to previous application

Hello,
i am making extensive use of eips within a python script to write data to the screen.
Now when I am done with the script I would like to go reactivate whatever was on the screen before.
For example I had kual open but after my script the screen is just blank.
when I touch the screen where a kual button is, kual reactivates,.
How can I achieve that from a script?
