Hi, guys:
I have a fairly new Kindle. Yesterday I called Amazon to get rid of the Special Offers since I don't live in the US and cannot take advantage of it. After following the instructions of the rep, and rebooting once she sent the update, my kindle froze and now does not respond. She escalated the call to a tech and now they are replacing it. The thing is that I'm a in a country with well known problems in the local mail and most of this kind of deliveries never arrive or get stuck in customs forever, so I'm seeking for some tech advise.
The only thing I see are the wallpapers. I was wondering if there is a way to reinstall the whole firmware. I used to do it (back in the days) with non-smart phones like, Moto L7 and V3, so I figured it could be done here too.
I did some research in the forums, tried a few (not very invasive) things, but still with no result.
When connected to the computer I can see the device as USB and write and read on it.
If anybody could help me by pointing me out in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
I forgot to say. I have a Mac laptop, but if necessary, I can get a PC
