I want to develop simple gui applications using python for PW2

I have a little background in python and I'd like to develop simple apps for my Kindle paper-white 2. I'd like to know if there is a python gui library for doing that. how do I get started in developing gui apps for Kindle e-readers. I'd like to know if a specific library is available for that.
